Tonia, "Bean," is an East Texas native, growing up in Henderson and attending TJC as a music major. They have always had a love for horses, but their riding experience and training began in 2018, when they began taking lessons from Rebecca at RH Equestrian. They enjoy the special bond that can be formed between humans and the horses.
Over the years, they have developed a passion for equine care and behavior, and have received top awards at shows they have attended. They are constantly pursuing growth as a rider and teacher and look forward to sharing their knowledge and joy with you.

Rebecca Hanna Dykes

Rebecca Hanna Dykes started her riding career in childhood, and has over twenty years of riding, competition, and horsemanship experience. Rebecca has received instruction from some of the top equestrians in the country, and continually pursues excellence and achieving new goals in her own riding career. While show jumping is Rebecca’s passion, she enjoys teaching the art and skill of hunters, equitation, dressage, as well as western riding. Rebecca has coached many students to championships at Texas shows, with her riders ranking in the highest levels in North Texas every year end in show jumping. She has a passion for developing the young rider into an accomplished horse person, whether that be through competition or personal goals. She has also received many awards with her own self-trained young horses. Rebecca emphasizes patience, dedication, consistency and understanding of the particular horse and rider connection during her training sessions. Rebecca received a Bachelor's in Psychology and Bachelor's in Marketing from Southern Methodist University in 2013. With her roots in Tyler, Texas, having graduated from All Saints Episcopal School in 2009, Rebecca loves sharing her knowledge and expertise with the East Texas community. Rebecca lives on property with her husband, Blake, her toddler Luke, and new little one, Reid, her two Miniature Australian Shepherds, two Great Pyrenees, and barn & house cats.

Rowan Sanders is a classically trained dressage rider who has been riding, training, and showing for over 30 years. She is educated in over 15 different riding disciplines including dressage, hunter, jumper, reining, western pleasure, trail (obstacle), barrel racing, and liberty training. She has a special talent for bringing along young horses and horses who need a little extra human kindness and understanding due to a rough past. Rowan's education includes several years working with veterinarians and farriers, as well as many years working for and with top trainers and instructors. Her focus is always on the well being of both the horse and rider, making sure both safely reach their goals and continue to live their best lives with the best education possible.
Rowan primarily teaches our Intermediate - Advanced Riders! Rowan is currently accepting new weekly students.
Our team of experienced riding instructors have backgrounds in show jumping, dressage, hunters, equitation, barrel racing, western riding, and more. We have a lovely group of gentle, beautiful lesson horses and ponies to show our riders the ropes of horsemanship.
Samantha has been a horse trainer and riding instructor for 10 years. She has worked with riders of all ages in the areas of barrel racing, ranch riding, western pleasure, hunters, and jumpers. Several of her personally trained horses have qualified for National Barrel Horse Association World Championships, and several of her students have competed in World and various rated shows in both the English and Western disciplines.
Samantha trained extensively under Barb Wagner for Barrel Racing, who has qualified multiple times for the National Finals Rodeo. She has also trained under Bill Payne, who was honored as the Blue Ridge Hunter Jumper Association Horseperson of the Year twice. Samantha is passionate about developing a solid foundation for riders and horses to excel in any discipline. Samantha attended Bob Jones University in South Carolina, and also has experience as a barn manager, veterinary technician, and dog trainer!
